WE ADVANCE SCIENCE

We are an international research center grounded in a human rights perspective. We design and carry out clinical, social and translational studies aimed at improving health, enhancing care processes and removing barriers to access to this right.

WE FOSTER PREVENTION

For HIV/AIDS, other communicable diseases, vaccine-preventable diseases and sexual and reproductive rights to become permanent items on the agenda and for information to be based on evidence, and communicated in an ethical and responsible manner.

WE PROMOTE RIGHTS

We work from a human rights-based perspective to ensure that people can make decisions about their sexual and reproductive lives free from stigma and discrimination. We provide free services to vulnerable populations.

Prevention

We carry out targeted advocacy efforts to enhance access to sexual and reproductive health, focusing on people living with HIV, women, LGBTIQ+ communities, youth, migrants, and others. Our work is rooted in a gender perspective to develop interventions that promote inclusion and reduce barriers in access to health.

We work from a human rights perspective to ensure that people can make decisions about their sexual and reproductive lives freely, confidently and safely, without stigma or discrimination.

Science

We are a nationally and internationally renowned center for epidemiological, clinical, social and translational research, which contributes to the development of new drugs, with strong focus on applying knowledge to health policies and programs.

We have been involved in Phase 2 a-b, 3 and 4 clinical studies on HIV, hepatitis, vaccines, immunomodulators, Chagas disease, antifungals, COVID-19 and cancer, among others.

We design and carry out studies with the aim of improving people's health from a comprehensive approach, optimising care processes and removing barriers to access, in alignment with the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3).

Rights

We offer free services to the most vulnerable communities.

Funding

We have built national and international partnerships, sought to increase individual donations, hosted fundraising events, and expanded collaborations with companies and international cooperation agencies for research and intervention projects.
